My name is Karen McKeown and I'm your State Member for Penrith.

I was first elected to Council in 2004 and continued to serve to this day. I served as your Mayor in 2015-2016 and again 2020-2021. 

I am very active in many community organisations and committees including as Vice President of the Australian Local Government Women’s Association NSW.

I am one of Council’s Sustainability Champions and represents Council and the City on environmental topics. I am also very passionate about ending homelessness and providing a voice for our growing multicultural community.

I ran for parliament because Penrith needed a representative that will put them first.

As your Member of Parliament, I will be sure to represent you in a Minns Labor Government.
