Local Woman of the Year Program
The Local Woman of the Year Awards is an annual program I run to recognise and celebrate the contributions of a local women in the Penrith electorate. Nominees will be considered for the Local Woman of the Year Award 2025, with Women aged 18-30 considered for the Local Young Woman of the Year Award 2025.
Nominations
Once again, I am opening up nominations to the public. Who do you think should be Penrith's Local Woman of the Year or Local Young Woman of the Year for 2025?
Submit your nomination by completing the below secure online form. Nominations can only be submitted via the online form and close on Monday, 28 October 2024 at 11:59pm.
The nomination requires nominators to provide a short description (up to 300 words) outlining why they believe the selected nominee should be the Local Woman or Young Woman of the Year. I will then finalise the list and select 2025's winners for Penrith.
The successful Local Woman will receive:
- Framed certificate signed by the Premier, Minister for Women, and myself
- Invitation to the NSW Women of the Year Awards Ceremony on Thursday, 6 March 2025
- Inclusion in the Honour Roll printed in the NSW Women of the Year Awards Ceremony program and listed on the Women NSW website
The successful Local Young Woman will receive:
- Certificate signed by myself

Q. How many Local Women will be chosen per electorate?
A. One (1) Local Woman of the Year and one (1) Young Local Woman of the Year will be chosen.
Q. Is there an age limit for the Local Woman?
A. Yes. A Local Young Woman of the Year must be aged 18-30 while all other nominees will be considered for the Local Woman of the Year.
Q. Must my nominee live in the Penrith electorate?
A. Yes. The Local Woman of the Year must live in the Penrith electorate.
