As the 2024 NSW Seniors Festival approaches, it’s time to shine a spotlight on the remarkable contributions of our local seniors in the Penrith electorate. From enriching our community through business ventures to dedicating themselves to lifelong learning and community service, seniors play a pivotal role in shaping the vibrant tapestry of Penrith.

The NSW Seniors Festival is a hallmark event celebrating the invaluable role seniors play in our society. With a plethora of free or discounted events spanning arts, sports, music, technology, and entertainment, it is the largest festival of its kind in the southern hemisphere, attracting an estimated 250,000 seniors across metropolitan, regional, and rural NSW.

Nominations are now open for the 2024 NSW Seniors Festival Local Achievement Awards, an initiative aimed at recognizing and honouring the outstanding seniors within our community. Whether they have demonstrated 
exemplary leadership in business, championed environmental causes, promoted health and wellbeing, pursued lifelong learning, or selflessly served the community, we want to hear their stories.

How to Nominate:
To nominate a deserving senior in the Penrith electorate, simply complete the secure online nomination form or collect a form from our office at Shop 23, 510-534 High St, Penrith NSW 2750. Nominations close on Friday, 8 March 2024, at 12:00pm.

Eligibility:
Nominees must be aged 65 years and over and reside within the Penrith electorate, encompassing the following localities and postcodes:

  • Cambridge Gardens, Cambridge Park, Castlereagh, Cranebrook, Emu Heights, Jamisontown, Kingswood, Leonay, Penrith, South Penrith, Werrington Downs.
  • Postcodes: 2747, 2749, 2750

Nominees can be recognized in the following categories:

  3. Health and Wellbeing
  4. Lifelong Learning
  5. Community Service
