The electorate of Penrith has today secured $295,143.00 in funding for a total of nine projects through the NSW Government’s 2023 Community Building Partnership Program. 

The successful project grants amounts provided were:
• Emu Plains Community Baptist Church – $13,900
• Our Lady of the Way Catholic Parish Emu Plains – $20,000
• Emu Heights Public School P & C Association – $27,500
• Leonay Public School P & C Association – $54,360

Member for Penrith, Karen McKeown OAM said:  

“The State Government funds will deliver much-needed improvements to local facilities including that of Mama Lana’s Community Foundation for the purchase of a walkie reach stacker forklift.  Mama Lana’s Community Foundation is successful in securing $25,000.  

“This is fantastic news for Penrith.  

“This grassroots funding will directly help create a more vibrant and inclusive local community with positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes,” Karen McKeown OAM said. 

“I congratulate all the organisations that were successful in their application and look forward to seeing how these projects make a real difference for community groups in the area.” 

The Community Building Partnership program has funded more than 19,700 community projects since it commenced in 2009.
