The Minns Labor Government is providing more than $112,000 in funding to support 70 veterans-related programs across NSW as part of the Veteran Community Grants Program (VCGP).
Member for Penrith Karen McKeown OAM MP and Minister for Veterans David Harris today announced City of Penrith RSL sub-Branch would receive $2,200 from the 2025 round of the Veteran Community Grants Program. This funding will contribute to the Women Veterans Memorial Plaque and School Education project and the Commemorative Visit project.
“A total of $112,850 will be provided to individuals, community groups, schools and ex-service organisations state-wide for projects that acknowledge Australia’s military service history, along with educating future generations and enhancing the wellbeing of the veteran community,” Mr Harris said.
“These exceptional projects and initiatives, including the one in Penrith, play an important role in honouring and supporting our veterans and their families. The funding awarded will make a real difference for many of these communities.” Mr Harris added.
Member for Penrith Karen McKeown OAM thanked the community for honouring the service of NSW veterans.
“I would like to acknowledge City of Penrith RSL sub-Branch for their commitment to the veterans of Penrith and honouring their service. The grants program and these community projects enable our future generations to learn of the efforts of our veterans and support our local veteran community.” Ms McKeown said.
