Unlocking Sydney: Penrith's Gateway to a Seamless Commute

Starting this Sunday, Penrith residents can take advantage of the state's first-class upgrade to Sydney Gateway. Penrith drivers will soon be able to undertake a quicker, smoother, toll-free drive to Sydney Airport.

The new five kilometres of motorway will transform access to the airport, saving motorists an estimated 17 minutes between the airport and St Peters Interchange. This interchange connects to the M8 and the main routes to Western Sydney—the M5 and M4.

Penrith drivers joining the motorway will now experience a traffic light-free run all the way to the domestic terminal and just one traffic light into the international terminal at Sydney Airport.

I want to thank Transport for NSW and the 8000 workers who spent almost four years constructing the Sydney Gateway.

If you're heading into Sydney Airport this weekend, stay safe as drivers learn how to use a first-class connection.

Ramping into Action on the M4!

I am proud to announce that, after advocating long and hard, the M4 bridge pedestrian ramps are set for an upgrade. Thanks to the NSW Government, the ramps, dating from the bridge's duplication in 1986, will be realigned and widened, making it easier and safer for people to access the footpath across the river while improving the amenity for walkers connecting Tench Reserve and across the river along River Road, Emu Plains.

I invite the community to have your say in the design of the new ramps and associated upgrades, including lighting, signage, and line marking. Feedback will be sought until Friday, 20 September 2024, and can be lodged via [email protected].

Toll Rebate Relief Flowing to Penrith Motorists

It is once again that time of year when Penrith drivers are encouraged to see if they are one of the 6000 NSW motorists on track to claim their toll cap cash back, as the second quarterly period is open for claims.

Almost 350,000 motorists across the state are eligible to claim the $60 toll cap rebate, with $53 million in relief available from 1 April 2024 to 30 June 2024.

Eligible drivers who have spent more than $60 a week on toll trips since 1 January can claim the toll relief via the Service NSW website, with the rebate calculated and claimed each quarter.

Click here to claim and follow the step-by-step instructions, including linking your toll account to your MyServiceNSW Account.
